The Opportunity

As a CAD designer in our team, you will play a crucial role in driving product development initiatives across our three core categories: Sports & Outdoors, Home & Travel, Health & Personal Care. You will bring ideas to life through quality CAD designs, 2D graphic solutions, packaging development and product marketing assets. This is a great opportunity to work on a wide array of consumer projects, working in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners.

This role is ideal for someone with strong design skills and a passion for innovation, who is excited to work in a fast-paced, growing start-up with a talented team. Your work will directly impact Olsam’s product portfolio and contribute to shaping our success.

Location & Flexibility

  • Full-time role based at our modern office in Runway East, London

  • 40 hours per week, 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch

  • This position is hybrid, with the expectation to go to the office 2 days per week

  • While london-based is preferred, wider UK-based candidates will also be considered

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product development across all Olsam brands, from concept through to launch

  • Create high-quality 3D CAD models and technical drawings (injection moulding, extrusions, plastic tooling)

  • Translate early concepts into detailed, production-ready assets

  • Produce photo-realistic renders using KeyShot or similar tools

  • Design 2D assets: packaging, cutter guides, inserts, labels, and instructions

  • Contribute to Amazon listing content (A+ visuals, translations, graphics)

  • Conduct market and product research to support ideation

  • Assist with design assets for tradeshows and industry events

About You

  • Degree in Product Design or related field (BA/BSc/BEng)

  • Strong portfolio across 3D product and packaging design

  • Skilled in SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER and Rhino

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Experience with KeyShot (preferred)

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, especially plastic injection moulding

  • Collaborative, communicative, and detail-oriented

  • Passionate about creating high-quality, consumer-first products
