Role Overview
As Group Finance Director you will lead our finance function, a key strategic role responsible for ensuring robust financial control, reporting accuracy, and commercial insight that supports our next phase of growth.
You will oversee all financial operations across Olsam’s multi-entity international structure, managing a talented finance team and acting as a strategic partner to the CEO whilst sitting on the senior leadership team. You’ll bring commercial acumen, operational rigour, and a growth mindset to ensure strong financial stewardship and business scalability.
Location & Flexibility
Full-time, permanent role based at our modern office in Runway East, London
40 hours per week, 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch
This position is hybrid, with the expectation to go to the office 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring clarity of ownership and effective utilisation of each team member’s skills.
Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape and execute financial strategy aligned with Olsam’s growth ambitions.
Drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee all financial operations, including management accounts, statutory reporting, tax, audit, treasury, and compliance.
Lead consolidated reporting for multiple international entities (UK, Netherlands, US, and Australia).
Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, board reporting, and analysis to support commercial decision-making.
Develop management dashboards and KPIs to support operational and strategic decision-making
Manage relationships with external auditors and advisors.
Systems, Controls & Compliance
Own the finance tech stack, particularly NetSuite, ensuring clean data flow, process automation, and system optimisation.
Maintain strong internal controls, governance, and compliance across all jurisdictions.
Oversee intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and multi-currency reconciliations.
Treasury, Cash, and Capital Management
Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, and liquidity planning.
Oversee banking relationships, covenant compliance, and financing arrangements.
Evaluate funding options and capital structures to support growth or acquisition activity.
Commercial & Operational Finance
Support brand-level and group-level forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasting cycles.
Provide financial analysis to guide investment decisions, M&A, and new market entry.
Partner with Operations, Brand, and Commercial teams to drive profitability and working capital efficiency.
About you
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 12+ years’ experience, ideally in a multi-entity, eCommerce, or consumer brand environment.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing a finance team in a fast-paced setting.
Deep knowledge of NetSuite and experience scaling finance processes across international entities.
Analytical, commercially astute, and able to distil complex data into actionable insight.
Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working across both strategic and operational levels.
Strong project management capabilities with a completer-finisher mindset
A resilient team leader, who leads with positive professionalism.
Experience within M&A or post-acquisition integration is a plus.
