Founded by ex-Amazonians for Amazon Sellers, Olsam are building a European consumer goods company that acquires and scales category leading Amazon FBA brands sold across global marketplaces. Believing that brands should be built for the long-term, we want to be the first point of contact for any Amazon FBA operators that are looking to sell their businesses and see their brands go to the next level.



The Role

We are looking for a Head of Continental Europe to join our fast-growing team to help build and lead our presence in the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing / origination of new investment opportunities (building and maintaining relationships with a network of brokers / M&A advisors / Founders / lawyers) with a focus on establishing Olsam’s presence in Continental Europe (Germany + France) as well as Nordics
  • Evaluating new investment opportunities, providing a first screen against the firm’s investment criteria and taking the lead in presenting European deals to the Investment Committee
  • Lead in deal structuring and negotiation
  • Lead in managing Due Diligence processes and helping to assess key investment merits and risks
  • Lead in the preparation of investment recommendation memorandums
  • Assist portfolio team in building value creation plan for completed acquisitions
  • Longer term build out and lead Olsam’s physical presence in Europe

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a detailed knowledge of corporate finance / accounting principles
  • Proactive attitude and deep sense of ownership and initiative
  • Fluency in foreign languages – German & French essential, Nordic language a plus but not essential
  • Understanding of French and German business markets (e.g. company formation, tax rules, corporate legal code e.g. in relation to acquisitions)
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with ability to articulate and present facts and ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proven business judgment to manage financials, manage operations and deliver growth goals
  • Proven analytical and ability to use data to manage metrics, drive improvements, and implement business cases
  • You’ll be highly analytical and will be passionate & obsessive about continuous improvement, demonstrating an ability to test and learn.
  • BA/BSc from top tier university
  • Advanced computer/technical skills – MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
