The Opportunity

We are looking for an IT Support Assistant to perform an integral role in scaling Olsam's technology department. In this role, you will be the main point of call for all IT support requests, with a focus on implementing new processes and software: adding value to the company, right from the get-go. In becoming a main point of call at Olsam, the successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across all areas of the business and assist on exciting tasks, including maintaining the company systems, cloud infrastructure and hardware as well as integrating new software and brands. There are plenty of opportunities to expand in this role with opportunities from building websites for our many brands to improving our development processes.

Please note, the role is remote within the UK and it is part-time, with 20 hours per week.

Job requirements

Key responsibilities include

  • Maintaining the company Azure environment, including Active Directory, InTune, Sharepoint and Office 365.

  • Managing mailboxes, firewalls and systems integrations across the company. 

  • Overseeing and managing the IT support desk, tracking requests, and managing timelines with stakeholders

  • Troubleshooting IT support requests and sourcing new hardware

  • Implementing Single Sign On and managing access control across all the company’s software.

  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats including implementing device monitoring software.

  • Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.

  • Onboarding all new starters; ensuring that all IT set-up is completed in a timely fashion to enhance the experience of all new joiners.

  • Rolling out strict and legally compliant policies when dealing with PPI data.

  • Close collaboration with the various teams on integration projects including migrating and consolidation of software, websites, domains and hosting

  • Supporting the delivery of website development, working with key stakeholders and developers

About you

  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem

  • Confident, responsible, and experienced in working with confidential information and documents.

  • Good problem-solving attitude.

  • Happy working in a fast-paced working environment and a varied role.

  • Take ownership to work independently.

  • Highly organised and detail oriented.

  • Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and strives to improve processes and practices.

  • Previous website development experience would be beneficial.

  • Networking, Cloud infrastructure or Devops experience would be beneficial.
